Biography

Award-winning actor Lenore Zann burst onto the entertainment scene at the age of 20 with her powerful portrayal of Marilyn Monroe in the rock opera “Hey Marilyn!”
She has since performed in live theatre across North America and around the globe with hundreds of screen credits as well as Animation, Radio, and Interactive Games. Recurring TV series roles include Street Legal, Law & Order, and Revival(now streaming on Crave Canada).
Fan-favourite animated roles include classics like Aisha Clan-Clan in the anime series Outlaw Star, Star Catcher in My Little Pony, Wendy Waters in Rescue Heroes, Aliyah in Bratz : Jewel of the Desert, Roll in MegaMan NT Warrior,Lorca in Dragon Tales, and Anakh Su Namen in The Mummy.
However she is best known and beloved by fans worldwide as Marvel’s southern belle superhero ‘Rogue’ – a role she originated in the hit 90’s series X-Men.
After dedicating 12 years of elected public service to Nova Scotia at both provincial and federal levels (2009-2021), Disney invited her to reprise her now-legendary role in their popular new Marvel series, X-Men ’97 and interactive game Marvel Rivals – to widespread critical acclaim and international success.
Recent honours, including Primetime Emmy and Critics Choice recognition, have contributed to a renewed international profile for Ms. Zann’s artistic legacy and solidified her global cultural impact.
As an author Lenore has received critical acclaim for her one-woman play The Marilyn Tapes which she performed for a year in New York. And her recent memoir A Rogue’s Tale, now available on Amazon and Audible. Watch for her this summer in Legend of the White Dragon and Season 2 of X-Men ‘97!
A tireless social justice champion, Lenore has been also been recognized for her work as a parliamentarian. Her Private Member’s Bill, “A National Strategy Respecting Environmental Racism” is the first bill of its kind in North America – passing into law in Canada with Royal Assent on June 20, 2024.
Lenore is the grateful recipient of several awards and citations: ACTRA National Award for Best Actor, Duke of Edinburgh Gold Lifetime Award for Service to the Arts & Country, Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Award for Contribution to Arts and Culture, and the 2024 King Charles III Coronation Award for Contribution to Environmental Protection, Community and Country.
